Effects of Smoking and the damage caused

Can Smoking cause Cancer?:

Smoking can increase the chances of contracting Cancer, it can kill you whether your old or young and what ever skin colour you are it has no preference.

Not all Smokers get Cancer, why?:

It could never be that all smokers will and all non smokers wont get cancer that is like saying everyone who drinks fizzy drinks will have rotting teeth, but if you carrying on you are increasing the chances of illness, did you know that 41% of smokers will die of a smoke related illness.

How does smoking cause Cancer?:

Every cigarette contains up to 70 different cancer causing substances, so everytime you inhale on a cigarette you are playing with your life. Your body has a wonderful way of counter-acting with anything that will damage it but over time the cancerous substances will take effect and then it will be too late.

It will never happen to me:

People have a strange belief that it will never happen to them, it is always the other person, you can bury your head if you wish but believe me it will be more than just your head that will be buried if you don’t change and soon. Look at it this way if you have two friends or family members that also smoke the chances are that one of you will die from smoke related illness, you choose!.

What other Organs get damaged?:

There is more than just the Lungs that get damaged, by carrying on the way you are you increase the chances of contracting Cancer of the Mouth, Liver, Pancreas, Kidneys, Bladder, Voice box, Wind pipe, Cervix and even some forms of leukaemia.

Can I live a full life after I quit?:

The chances are that if you quit you still have a good chance of recovery but this will depend on age, how many you smoke and for how long you have smoked too.
